Mission Statement

The Office of Investment and Innovation's mission is to stimulate the economy by providing small businesses and entrepreneurs access to a) capital investment via our SBIC program and b) intellectual property and Federal research dollars via our SBIR and STTR programs. Since 1958, our mission has been and continues to be underpinned by public-private partnerships focused on reducing gaps for small companies operating on or along the dynamic four-way intersection in which our office operates; finance | principal investment capital | technology-driven innovation | high-growth entrepreneurship.
