Mission Statement
Promote operational effectiveness, accountability and transparency within the SBA by developing, coordinating, and maintaining Agency efforts to transition to an outcome-oriented, customer-focused, employee-enabled, more accountable and transparent organization.
Summary of Responsibilities
The Performance Management Office supports the Agency’s strategic planning and prepares accountability and performance reports to include the following:

Coordinate agency efforts in preparing budget, performance, financial and strategic planning reports to include:
- Annual Financial Report and Summary of Performance & Financial Information report
- Annual Performance Budget – OMB Submission and the Congressional Budget Justification
- Implement/Update Agency 4 Year Strategic Plan and OCFO Strategic Plan
- Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly executive dashboards

Align resources and Action Plans to Priority Goals and strategies:
- Annual Performance Plans
- Agency Priority Goals

Coordinate management reviews:
- Support Quarterly agency performance reviews
- Consult with program and support offices on goals, measures, metrics and targets.
- Perform data analysis and prepare reports that are used to drive management decisions.

GPRA Modernization Act

The GPRA Modernization Act requires agencies:
- To establish Agency Priority Goals
- Quarterly reporting (including measures and milestones)
- Quarterly reviews including identification of risk and performance improvement actions

- Process business loans efficiently by increasing the use of electronic application
- Process Disaster Assistance applications efficiently by reducing the loan process times
- Increase small business participating in government contracting
- Grow the deployment of long term capital in our Small Business Investment Company program
