Is your small business ready to go global? The process may be easier than you think. Join the West Virginia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration as we host a free workshop targeted to help small businesses, especially those in the hardwood and logging industry, excel at selling their products and services abroad.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, December 11 from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Randolph County Development Authority located on 10 Eleventh Street in Elkins. Participating in the workshop include Leslie Drake, Director of the WV U.S. Export Assistance Center, and Caitlin Ashley and Enybe Diaz from the International Trade division of the West Virginia Development Office.
Leo Lopez, SBA West Virginia District Office Lender Relations Specialist and William Houck, SBA Office of International Trade Regional Manager will discuss export financing options. Other topics include: exporting opportunities for Appalachian hardwood, state resources available for exporters, testimonial from WV exporting company, and time for networking.
“We know that 95% of the world’s consumers live outside of the United States,” said Judy McCauley, SBA West Virginia District Director. “Exporting goods allow small businesses the ability to reach new markets, increase sales, and create jobs.”
Registration is required and can be completed by going to www.wvscore.org or by calling 304-347-5220.
