About Arkansas District Office

Welcome to our Arkansas District Office. We are privileged to assist the small businesses that serve our state so well. The 200,000 small businesses in Arkansas employ one million people and provide nearly half of all Arkansas jobs.

We are a small staff with our main office in Little Rock, and a field office in Fayetteville. Each year, our office helps to provide about $100 million in loans to small businesses, we and our SBA-funded partners provide management training and consulting to thousands of entrepreneurs, and we help small business owners pursue contracts from the federal government and prime federal contractors.

We could not provide the quantity or quality of service we do without the help of our many partners, especially:

  • The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center has the state covered with its main headquarters on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and regional centers around the state. The ASBTDC offers free business consulting, a state-of-the-art small business resource library at UALR, and low cost training at its  locations on a variety of management issues.  The ASBTDC also has extensive online training and publications – for both existing businesses and those just getting started.

  • SCORE, a volunteer organization of small business experts, that offers free management counseling and shares its expertise with you. SCORE has chapters conveniently located around the state or you can receive free counseling online at without ever leaving home.

SBA’s lending partners include local banks, non-bank lenders, not-for-profit lenders, and national lenders.

Please feel free to call, email, or visit us at any time. We would be happy to speak to you or your group about the importance of small businesses, and the programs and services we have to offer.
