SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Since 1963, National Small Business Week has recognized the outstanding achievements of America's small businesses for their contributions to their local communities and our nation's economy. In 2013, the 50th year celebration will honor the nation's 27 million small businesses. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Syracuse District Office invites nominations of successful small businesses as part of the annual celebration.
SBA Syracuse District Awards include the following categories:
- SBA Young Entrepreneur of the Year
- Small Business Exporter of the Year
- Small Business Person of the Year
In addition to the online portal, accessible at http://nationalsmallbusinessweek.sba.gov, nominations can also be sent directly to the SBA Syracuse District Office, 224 Harrison Street, Syracuse, NY, 13202. All nominations must be submitted to the SBA and postmarked by January 31, 2013. District-level winners of the Small Business Person of the Year award go on to compete at the state level. State winners will be invited to Washington, D.C. to compete for national titles and to attend National Small Business Week events in 2013.
