ST. LOUIS, MO – The SBA would like to announce that the Small Business Week of Eastern Missouri website is now up and running and will be taking online registrations for Small Business Week events starting Friday, April 1, 2011. Small Business Week of Eastern Missouri 2011 will be celebrated May 9 – 14 with events throughout the metropolitan area celebrating small businesses. The web address is http://www.sbwstl.org/ or http://www.smallbusinessweekstl.org/.
The new and enhanced website contains the following information:
●Calendar of Events
There is a YouTube video of the Small Business Week 2010 winners on the home page and there are also links to Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. There is an Email Reminder Sign up feature, too.
The Exhibit Gala booths are limited and generally sell out, so businesses are encouraged to reserve their tables early. Reservation details are on the site.
The SBA and SBW Committee would like to encourage everyone to start thinking about nominations for next year. This is the opportunity to nominate small businesses and small business champions that impact eastern Missouri. Key deadlines are not officially announced until late summer or early fall and the submission window is quite short. Nomination guidelines do not generally change much from year to year so much of the paperwork can be prepared in advance of the nomination deadline. There were no local submissions in some categories this year and eastern Missouri has deserving businesses in all categories.
St. Louis is the only city with a full week of Small Business Week events. For more information about Small Business Week of Eastern Missouri contact Patti Guttmann, SBA, (314) 539-6600 x255 or email@example.com, or Don Barnes, Chair, Small Business Week 2011, at (636) 220-6549 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
