APS Technology wins SBA Exporter of the Year Award

HARTFORD, CT – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced William E. Turner, President of Advanced Products & Systems (APS) in Wallingford, CT as the Small Business Exporter of the Year Award for 2013. 

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and recognizing those who work so hard to achieve success is truly an honor,” said Bernard M. Sweeney, SBA District Director for Connecticut.  APS Technology is an impressive technology savvy company that began 15 years ago with only 3 employees and now employs overs 250 system experts, engineers, toolmakers, and machinists worldwide. APS is a leading innovator and creator on numerous components and has full systems dedicated to the support of drilling operations in both oil field areas and other extremely harsh environments.  

APS currently has satellite offices in Houston TX, Chengdu, China, Moscow, Russia, Dubai, UAE, and Aberdeen in the UK. APS system equipped companies has set drilling records worldwide and is a clear indicator of just for far this local business has come since its humble beginnings.
