Services Available

• Financial assistance for new or existing businesses through guaranteed loans made by area bank and non-bank lenders. Working through over 100 local lenders, borrowers can obtain SBA guarantees on their loans. The maximum loan guarantee for one business or individual is $5,000,000.For more information, contact Mike Rossi at the Delaware District office at (302) 573-6294 Ext. 231.

• Free counseling, advice and information on starting, better operating or expanding a small business through (SCORE) Counselors to America’s Small Business.

• Assistance to businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals through the Minority Enterprise Development Program. All firms owned by socially or economically disadvantaged individuals are encouraged to contact the Business Development Specialist Gedell Hawkins at (302) 573-6294 Ext. 226 for information.

• Women's Business Ownership Representatives are available to advise women business owners. For more information please call Ellyn Herbert at (302) 573-6294 Ext. 222.

• Special loan programs are available for businesses involved in international trade.
