Miguel E. Gonzalez, a 28-year federal service professional, is the Assistant District Director for Lender Relations for the South Florida District. 

Gonzalez began his federal career with SBA’s Disaster Assistance Office in Niagara Falls, NY where he served as Chief of Portfolio Management and oversaw the handling, servicing, and Liquidation of SBA Disaster and Guaranty loans.

He transferred to the South Florida District Office in 1998, to become Chief of Finance.  He was later advanced to Assistant District Director for Customer Service. In 2012, he was selected to be Assistant District Director for Lender Relations.  His staff works closely with SBA participating lenders, microlenders and Certified Development Centers in South Florida.
