Philadelphia, PA – On April 17, the U.S. Small Business Administration will present a Southeastern Pennsylvania Lender-Borrower Matchmaking event in King of Prussia, Penn. The event’s “one-stop, speed dating” format is designed to efficiently spark lending relationships across the region. SBA encourages entrepreneurs at every stage of business development, from start-up to going concern, to attend this free-of-charge event on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge, Independence Ballroom, 1160 1st Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406. The event is open to the media.
The event’s “Lender Match” will allow entrepreneurs a series of 15-minute pitch periods to pitch their financing needs to a variety of lenders in one-on-one meetings before presenting to the next lender. Participating lenders will schedule more detailed interviews to occur at a later date with entrepreneurs whose proposal may be a match with their lending portfolio. Representatives from SBA’s Resource Partner network – SCORE Women’s Business Centers, and Small Business Development Centers – will also be available to help potential borrowers.
“The Lender Match is a very practical means by which local lenders and entrepreneurs can cut through some of the red tape often associated with finding business financing,” said Dave Dickson, SBA Philadelphia District Director. “With more than 40 lenders participating in the event and a team of business advisors on hand to immediately arrange for business counseling, the event will be time well spent for potential borrowers and lenders.”
Pre-Registration for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Lender-Borrower Matchmaking event is required. To pre-register, send an e-mail to MeetTheLendersPA@SBA.gov. Pre-registration e-mails should include the subject line “Registration – Meet the Lenders 4/17/2012,” as well as the following information: name; company name; e-mail address; contact phone number; and mailing address.
Entrepreneurs should bring the following to the event to review with lenders: cover sheet containing all contact info and business information; detailed loan request, providing a breakdown of use of proceeds; up-to-date business plan, including 3 years historical financial statements and/or 2 years of projections; personal financial statement; personal tax returns; credit report; and list of available collateral.
This event is co-sponsored by NBC 10 and SCORE Montgomery County.
