WILMINGTON, DEL.— On Wednesday, May 15, 2013, Delaware Governor Jack Markell will host SBA’s 2013 Small Business Award winners at his Wilmington, Del., office to congratulate them on winning their SBA titles and for adialogue on how Delaware’s State government can assist small businesses.  The event will be open to the media.

SBA’s annual small business awards is a local observance of the Presidentially-designated, annual National Small Business Week, which will be observed this year June 17-21. National Small Business Week recognizes the small business community’s contribution to the American economy and culminates in the announcement of the National Small Business Person of the Year.


Bruce Elliott, 1150 AM WILM/1450 WDOV Programming Director and Host of “Elliott in the Morning” will host Delaware’s annual “SBA Small Business Awards” event May 21. The event starts with a 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. awards ceremony and dinner at Deerfield Public Golf and Grille, 507 Thompson Station Road, Newark, Del. 19711. Prior to the ceremony, ceremony attendees are invited to participate in a golf outing at Deerfield, with tee times between 11:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. The event will be open to the media.
