In the aftermath of the recent flooding in nearby Colorado, many business owners have questioned whether they are prepared for a disaster. Floods, tornadoes, wind storms, and man-made disasters can hit Kansas without notice, but most businesses are ill-prepared to deal with the disaster or the business recovery.
According to the Institute for Business and Home Safety, an estimated 25 percent of businesses do not reopen following a major disaster.
