The New Orleans District Office serves 64 parishes (counties) of Louisiana, an area of approximately 44,521,000 square miles. Louisiana is known for rolling hills and marshy wetlands, from serene lake bayous to the mighty Mississippi River and the vast Gulf of Mexico.

Services Available

  • Financial assistance for new or existing businesses through guaranteed loans made by area bank and non-bank lenders. The New Orleans office assists several hundred businesses each year by providing financial assistance through the 7(a) and 504 loan programs. For more information, call (504) 589-2705.

  • Free counseling, advice and information on starting, better operating or expanding a small business through (SCORE) Counselors and Small Business Development Centers to America’s Small Business.

  • Assistance to businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals through the Minority Enterprise Development Program.
