Your local SBA St. Louis District office is again accepting applications for 17 slots for the 2012 e200 Emerging Leader Initiative course. St. Louis metropolitan businesses may apply for this free class. Eligible participants must have been in business at least three years, have sales between $400,000 and $10,000,000, have at least one employee and have a desire to take their business to the next level. Each business may have one participant who must be a key decision maker—CEO, COO, CFO, Owner or President.
This course, paid for by the U.S. Small Business Administration, is conducted by Interise, a company out of Boston, Massachusetts. It is a 26-week training initiative offered to area businesses that want to grow and succeed with the help of this e200 Initiative. The program will help these businesses increase their viability and create more jobs in this community. St. Louis is one of 27 cities which host an e200 class.
The name e200 arose in 2005 with the original concept of 20 companies in ten cities, which at that time did not include St. Louis. This will be the second year St. Louis hosts an e200 class. One of the many accolades from our 14 graduates of the program in 2011 was from Baskar Subbarao, President of Zodiac International, Inc. who wrote, “Thank You for the opportunity to participate in the e200 Emerging Leader. It has been a great learning experience that will help my business.” If you meet the criteria or know of someone who may be interested, contact Program Manager Patti Guttmann at (314) 539-6600, extension 255 or email firstname.lastname@example.org at SBA’s St. Louis District office. This class will begin in April 2012 and conclude in November 2012.
