The Small Business Administration is bringing the Emerging Leaders 200 Initiative (e200) and its MBA-style program to Montana small businesses for the third year. This initiative for entrepreneurs has been a catalyst for expanding opportunities to small business owners across the United States. Over the past two years, 31 exceptional participants have graduated from the program in Montana.
The free seven-month course begins in April in Helena. It includes approximately 40 hours of classroom time per participant and provides the opportunity for small business owners to work with experienced mentors, attend workshops and develop connections with their peers, city leaders and financial communities. Participants in the program will graduate with a clear three-year strategic plan for long term growth and strategies to achieve size and scale.
The Montana District Office is currently recruiting businesses, including Native-American-owned businesses, to participate in the program. There are a limited number of spaces available for this exciting and proven course, so please don’t hesitate to call now.
Ideal participants are energetic, growth-minded entrepreneurs who find their businesses “stuck” in neutral and want to get it accelerated toward the next level.
Participants will have the opportunity to work with experienced mentors, attend workshops, and develop connections with their peers.
“While the SBA e200 class was challenging and a significant time investment, it provided much-needed perspective on my business as we grow,” stated Shannon Benser, owner of Promotions West in Bozeman and 2012 e200 graduate. “Our e200 CEO mentoring group was an invaluable opportunity to connect with other business owners and support each other. The insights we gained from class and the trouble spots we encounter in our business translate easily from marketing to hospitality to construction. The e200 experience is an ongoing investment to help me regularly pause to work on my business rather than having all my time consumed by the work of the business.”
