SANDUSKY – John K. Krupp, CPA, owner of John K. Krupp, LLC of Sandusky, Ohio, has been named the 2012 Financial Services Champion of the Year by the Cleveland District Office of the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA). This SBA Small Business Champion award honors an individual who assists small businesses through advocacy efforts to increase the usefulness and availability of accounting or financial services for small businesses. "John Krupp is a true champion of small business,” said Gil Goldberg, District Director of SBA’s Cleveland District Office. “He demonstrates this through his extensive community service, which allows him to use his professional expertise and personal talents to educate small business owners on the critical importance of good financial management.”
Mr. Goldberg noted that nominees for this award are judged on several criteria, including the following: Outside of regular business duties, the amount and quality of assistance given small businesses to obtain financing; Advocacy for changes in the financial services industry to assist small companies; encouragement of the flow of investment capital to small ventures; Active support for legislative or regulatory action designed to help small firms; Measurable accomplishments through the advocacy efforts of the financial services or accounting industries to advance small business.
Mr. Krupp was nominated for this award by William D. Auxter, Center Director of the Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Terra Community College. Mr. Krupp provides counseling to SBDC clients, and he annually presents a free small business tax workshop at the center.
