Robert DuCotè is Acting District Director and Deputy Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration Portland District Office. DuCotè is responsible for the delivery of the SBA's programs and services throughout most of Oregon and four counties in Southwest Washington. DuCotè oversees a staff of ten that promotes access to capital, federal procurement opportunities, and business development assistance in cooperation through more than 60 area lenders, 21 Small Business Development Centers, six SCORE Chapters, and one Women's Business Center and Veteran’s Business Outreach Center.
DuCotè has over 17 years of combined federal and military service. Prior to joining the SBA, he served as Assistant Deputy Program Executive Officer for the Navy’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence Program Office. He was responsible for PEO C4I strategic planning and process improvement activity for this two billion dollar enterprise. DuCotè also served as Director of In-Service Engineering Activity (Afloat Networks) at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific and as Program Manager for Science Applications International Corporation. During his service in the U.S. Navy, DuCotè specialized in supply chain management, business process improvement, program management, and global logistics.
DuCotè has experience as both a small business owner and an entrepreneur in real estate management and personal fitness training.
DuCotè has a Masters in Management from the University of the Redlands School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in both Political Science and English from Texas Tech University. He also holds an accreditation in Executive Leadership and Management from Notre Dame University and numerous certifications in Lean Six Sigma and program management. DuCotè and his wife Christina Ann DuCotè have one son, Robert Jr.
