Fresno—Starting in September, SCORE and SBA will launch the five class “Simple Steps” program in Spanish to teach aspiring Hispanic entrepreneurs how to start a business. Bilingual SCORE counselors will train the Valley’s Spanish speaking future business owners how to write business plans, develop a cash flow strategy, market and finance their ventures.
“After seeing the successful job creation and new business formation this series has created the last three years, we now want to reach out to Spanish speaking entrepreneurs to help grow more Hispanic business owners,” said Peter Fong, Central Valley SCORE District Director. Fresno SCORE chapter’s provides free mentoring, quality educational workshops and other resources to small business owners and entrepreneurs to create long-term growth and financial success.
The Spanish entrepreneur workshops are free thanks to sponsorship by Wells Fargo Bank and Valley Small Business Development Corporation. Workshops will be held in downtown Fresno at the SBA District Office, 801 R Street, 1st Floor on September 4th, 11th, 18th. 25th and October 2nd from 9 am to noon.
