Top-notch educational business resources are available through Community Business Connections to both entrepreneurs and to the public service organizations who assist them.

A joint project of three organizations, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Vermont Small Business Development Center and the Vermont Secretary of State's Office, Community Business Connections provides assistance in the following ways:

Writing a business plan, building management skills, financing a business, finding new customers, and increasing sales.

Community Business Connections also offers the following:

A resource-packed website, http://www.startabusinessinvermont.net, offers all the resources needed to start or expand a business in one easy-to-access location.  The site also provides a handy business checklist to help navigate the start-up process.

Business training to help chambers of commerce, libraries and other organizations become local economic development "ambassadors."

Three-inch wide, round decals directing the public to http://www.startabusinessinvermont.net.  The decals can be placed on public access computers in libraries and other locations.

Downloadable flyers with tear-off tabs directing people to Community Business Connections.

For more information or to request decals, call Vallerie Morse at the SBA Vermont District Office:  802-828-4422.
