Wyoming – Aaron Rodolph, President of Rodolph Brothers, Inc. was honored by the U.S. Small Business Administration at the Casper Area Economic Development Alliance, Inc. (CAEDA) Quarterly Breakfast at the Petroleum Club in Casper this morning.  During the breakfast, Amy Lea, Acting District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration, presented Aaron with the 2013 Wyoming Small Business Person of the Year award.

Aaron shared the story of how his business was started, and talked about how the assistance he received from the Wyoming Entrepreneur Small Business Development Center helped him early on.  He said, “I have been blessed to grow up around the great example of the people here in Casper, Wyoming my entire life.  My father and mother instilled in me deep, abiding values of integrity, work ethic, and a Christ-like view toward others.  These values are the foundation of who I am today.”

In her letter nominating Aaron for this award, Candis Lane, Project Coordinator with the Wyoming Entrepreneur Small Business Development Center, highlighted the community service that Aaron and his team provided in Joplin, Missouri in 2011, assisting with recovery efforts after the devastating tornado and storms.

The 2013 Wyoming Small Business Person of the Year award is given by the SBA Wyoming District Office to an individual whose business demonstrates staying power, growth in number of employees; increase in sales and/or unit volume over the past three years; solid current and past financial performance over the last three years; innovativeness of product or service offered; response to adversity; and contributions to community-oriented projects.

The National Small Business Week awards are one of the highlights of the SBA’s National Small Business Week celebration that is being held this week.  After the ceremony, Aaron and his wife, Nicole, traveled to Washington, DC, where the 2013 National Small Business Person of the Year will be selected this Friday, June 21, 2013.
