According to a recent USA Today/Gallup poll, 63% of non-retired adults in the US plan to work in retirement; two-thirds say enjoyment of work is the key reason. With plenty of years of experience, maturity and still lots of energy, why not go into business for yourself. You can find financial and personal fulfillment in being your own boss and owning a small business.

Sole proprietorships, home-based and online businesses are a good fit for older small business owners because they are less expensive to start and have greater flexibility. For example, buying and selling items through online auctions is a good business opportunity that hasn’t been available in past years.
