Subject: Ergonomics Program rule; SBREFA Small Business Advocacy Panel
Dear Mr. Jeffress:
I have received your letter dated January 29, 1999, regarding the Ergonomics Program rule, notifying us of the possibility of convening a Small Business Advocacy Review Panel under section 609(b) of the Regulatory Flexibility Act, as amended by the Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act of 1996.
We are currently reviewing the information your staff has provided us as well as OSHAs list of suggested small business representatives. We are also compiling a list of individuals representative of affected small entities. We will be sending OSHA this list within the 15 day timeframe, by February 13, 1995. We appreciate the advance receipt of many of the materials associated with the rulemaking provided by your staff, including general background information concerning the rule and cost estimates. We understand that the draft regulatory analysis will soon be forthcoming as well.
We look forward to working with the agency on this important new law.
Sincerely,
Jere W. Glover
Chief Counsel for Advocacy
