SBA Counselors of the Year Nominations

Every year, the President honors small businesses and champions of small businesses for their outstanding contributions during National Small Business Week(NSBW). This year, SBA is proud to announce the addition of three awards to honor resource partner staff and volunteer to NSBW. These are the, SBA Counselor of the Year: Small Business Development Center, SBA Counselor of the Year: Women’s Business Center and SBA Counselor of the Year: SCORE.

Through SBDCs, WBCs, and SCORE Chapters, the SBA resource partner network offer small business owners over 14,000 touch points across the nation. These counselors provide free or low-cost support to entrepreneurs, and we’ve seen evidence that when businesses work with a counselor, they have a higher chance of success.

These three new awards recognize the talent within the SBA resource partner network, especially those who are doing amazing and innovative things to help small businesses. Whether that is someone who has gone above and beyond as a counselor or group of SBA resource partners that has worked collaboratively to advanced opportunities for entrepreneurial development, these awards will honor those that have broken down barriers and worked to advance the small business community in their neighborhoods.

If you’ve benefitted from counseling from one of our SBA resource partners and want to nominate your counselor for the award, please nominate them at:
