GO Loan Pilot Program
The U.S. Small Business Administration launched the Gulf Opportunity Loan (GOLoan) Program in 2005 as a one year pilot to expedite small business financing to those 59 counties severely impacted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The Agency provides its full guaranty and streamlined and centralized loan processing to qualified lending partners that agree to make expedited SBA 7(a) loans available to small businesses located in the designated counties. The program has been extended each fiscal year since its inception and is currently scheduled to expire September 30, 2011.
