Are you a small business owner planning to visit Washington, DC for President Obama’s Inauguration? Are you a small business owner looking for more business? Are you a small business owner looking to partner with larger businesses or federal agencies on federal contract opportunities?
If your answer is “yes”, then you don’t want to miss the Small Business Open House/Procurement Fair that will be held during an exciting weekend of Inauguration events hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration, General Services Administration, Department of Defense and several other federal agencies! Small businesses from across the country will learn about contracting opportunities and opportunities to work and partner with federal agencies. They also will receive updates on the Obama Administration’s small business initiatives and resources available to them in their local communities.
Opportunities for Small Business in Every Community—How Can You Benefit?
SBA’s Deputy Administrator Marie Johns, the Acting GSA Administrator Dan Tangherlini and other Administration officials will be on hand at GSA’s newly renovated headquarters on January 18th from noon to 4pm to discuss important issues facing small businesses and how they can connect to federal opportunities in their area. There also will be representatives from more than 20 federal agencies on site to answer questions from small businesses about contracting opportunities, how to do business with the government, how to win a contract and available resources to small businesses. Hundreds of small businesses are expected to attend.
Where and How Can I Participate?
The Small Business Open House/Procurement Fair will be held at GSA’s headquarters at 1800 F St. NW, Washington, DC 20006 (Entrance on F St.) in the front lobby hallway and the auditorium from noon to 4pm. GSA’s headquarters building is undergoing its first full renovation in 70 years, which will double its capacity and showcase the next generation of federal office space and green building technology.
