What’s Everyone Talking About?

After reading a few posts in the boards and blogs, you’ll soon realize that the 2,000+ members registered in the Community are not a shy bunch. Conversations are rapidly occurring, so every few weeks we’ll check in and report on the pulse of the Community -- for example, the threads that are generating the most posts and the topics users currently concerned about or encouraged by. Here’s a summary of what we’ve noticed so far:

Hot Boards
Loans, Grants, and Taxes is currently the most popular discussion board, with over 200 posts. It’s no surprise that this board is so popular in the midst of tax season. Members with tax expertise are actively jumping in to answer questions regarding deductions and filing requirements.

Many Community members are posting about current economic conditions and the government’s plans to help spur growth in the small business community. You can add your two cents to ongoing discussions on loan programs and comment on blog articles regarding the economic stimulus package and the President’s plan to boost small business lending.

Hot Threads

Effective Advertising Techniques is spurring interesting conversations on how charitable donations can bring in clients and the importance of referrals in today’s economic climate

E-commerce discussions are popping in all of the boards, especially within Self Employed & Home-based Businesses. In a thread on Affiliate marketing, users are sharing their experiences – on both the benefits of these marketing programs, and their concerns with scams.

Community members jumped with encouragement for a female business owner trying to break into a male-dominated field. Members shared their own success stories and contacts for networking and business development.

Another conversation generating some interesting feedback is starting a small business in an economic downtown.
