Health Care Meets Transportation
In the 2010 Occupational Outlook, the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the healthcare and transportation service industries are expected to grow over the next several years. So, it's no surprise that Community members are buzzing about non-emergency medical transportation businesses. Members are asking how to register, finance, and operate businesses that bring patients to and from medical facilities in non-emergency situations. Your can read their questions and comments, or share your experiences in this emerging field:
- Starting a non-emergency medical transportation business
- Financing recommendations for non-emergency medical transportation businesses:
- Loan advice for startups
- Grant and loan tips for expanding operations
To learn more about complying with laws and regulations that apply to health care businesses, read Business.gov's Health Care Industry Guide.
Energy Efficiency Loans, Grants, and Tax Incentives
Small business owners are seeing the benefits of going green - by helping the planet and saving money at the same time. More and more questions about energy efficiency are springing up across Business.gov's Community discussion boards:
- Financing a new recycling business
- Financing a solar and wind energy company
- Energy efficient business repairs
Earlier this month we launched a new Idea Exchange: Share Your Energy Saving Tips. This Idea Exchange will run through February, so you still have time to submit your thoughts and vote on ideas. Remember to visit Business.gov's Green Business Guide for more resources on expanding your business while saving energy costs.
You can share your experiences by replying to these hot topics, or by creating your own thread. Keep the discussions going and we'll post another update soon!
