My name is Kevin and I try to do just about everything I can to make money. Everything I make, I consider to be micro profits (but every bit helps). A little here and a little there. I finally built a website and I think that I could take it and make it an incredible source of income. It generates a small profit now but not enough to really grow the business. I am still in college and graduate in 4 months with a double major. I work part time as an intern at a brokerage house, so funds/over are an issue.
I am looking for some type of State or Federal Grant to get going. Any help or just pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Forget about grants - they just don't work that way.
Raising money - be it a loan or private equity - depends on several factors - the most important being how much you are seeking and what those funds will be used for.
It is hard to point you in the right direction without knowing those criteria.

As phanio mentioned, forget about grants. I suggest you read 'The Bootstrapper's Bible' by Seth Godin. At this stage, you have to bootstrap your business.

Both are correct, grants are so hard to get and they are only giving out for certain reasons. Check out Business.gov's Small Business Loans page.
This can be a great alternate to grants.

Yes we must agree with all the others...Grant writing has its place, however, it is not design for young inspiring entrepreneurs. Rather, it is designed to help fund projects that serve in most cases a nonprofit charitable mission. All the best in your entrepreneurial aspirations!

Loans are hard to come by.I suggest you to enter into Internet Marketing sector as you have already build a webiste.You can do Affiliate marketing with your site so that you get paid from cleints by placing their advertisements.
