Don't know if this is the right discussion forum, but a financial advisor told me that whatever extra cash I have at the end of the year, I should put towards 529e shares - it's similar to a pension but not well known. I'm not going to hire this guy so I feel weird asking him to set one up for me.
Does any one know about this? Can anyone shed some light?
I am having a hard time finding information on 529e plans.
The IRS offers general guidance on 529 plans, which are tax incentives run by states or educational institutions to make it easier to save
for college or higher education. If this is what you had in mind, you can read more about 529 plans on IRS.gov.
