I registered my s-corp in NJ last year. a partner is joining me this week. i need advise on what i need to do. do i need to file C102 - Certificate of Amendment to the Certificate of Incorporation by the Incorporator(s)? if i do, one of the instructions in doing so is for the incorporator to sign it. i filed my business using legal zoom. and the incorporator on my articles is some random person i don't know. so can i just sign it?

You as the business owner should be the incorporator. Surely your name appears somewhere on the original papers. Generally, using a service like Legal Zoom can be a waste of money when you can prepare and file documents yourself fairly easily and be sure the documents comply with the specific laws in your state.
