I make video games and have invested over 800 dollars in a so called SEO
company to increase your web page hits and all the other lies. I was ripped
off and really would like to know exactly HOW to sell digital content via the
internet and retail.
I find it frustrating I have a product and no knowledge on how to sell it.
But honestly I also do not have the time either as all the programming, 3d
and art that goes into a game is extremely time consuming.
Are there people that do know?
Thanks for your time.
God Bless

creating content for your product is the best way to promote it online and
rise in the Search Engine rankings. The problem with companies that offer SEO
services is that they operate with the old way of thinking that stacking up
cheap links will get you to #1. Google has been trying really hard to break
away from that, and the focus is shifting more and more towards unique
quality content. Writing blog posts, making videos will go a long way.
But on top of this, even if you are ranked first you need to guide visitors
towards actually purchasing your products. You do this by implementing call
to action prompts that guide visitors towards making a purchase.
We could potentially help you out with this, and if you'd like to learn more

industry's leading blogs, discussion boards and forums. Pick a few and you
are likely to make like minded friends who will have input as well as the
benefit of getting your product out in the open to the demographic you are
targeting..good luck!

customer is typing into Google to find your games. Second, you'll want to
start creating content around those key phrases. A blog is good. Another you
could do is just do some paid advertising on the sites your ideal customer
visits online. Those are the simpler ways to get your business going.

assumed, would be a process, a project, a massive learning curve, lots of
hard work and time.
I didn't have any budget to speak of and therefore, wasn't able to just
swallow hook, line, and sinker that an online business was only possible if
you had lots of money to invest in having a template designed and then have
someone do the SEOing for you.
It took me 11 months to find good information about how to build a business
online selling something .. anything.
I should say it took that long to find what was helpful to bring the pieces
of the puzzle together just so I could see the big picture.
I had no choice but to bootstrap my marketing efforts for my service .. and
that's

about on-line activities, you are likely to continue being ripped off.... I
suggest spending a few hours per week in major on line forums reading the
answers and submitting your own questions. think of it as study and an
investment in your future.. Then you will be able to hire someone with
confidence.

site that I use both to promote my CPA practice... and to sell downloadable
digital goods. You can get an idea of ONE APPROACH to doing this. (In a
nutshell, I use the site to promote... and then I use Paypal to handle the
money and a digital goods fulfillment service to serve up the downloads.)
BTW, while I have not had good results with just "wholesaling" digital goods
through one of the big "retail" websites (though I've tried mightily at
times), I understand that some people do really well with those techniques.
Good luck!

I would advise you to start one single blog and write good quality content on
it - something for people to read, not for search engines. Write about how
you make your 3D models for example, put some pictures, etc. Write stories,
people love stories - write about your characters in the game, develop them
as characters - this will ultimately benefit your game and your understanding
of your game too.
Share content that people care about and they'll come to your blog and they
might end up customers.
If they like the content, they're also likely to tell others - word of mouth
is the most powerful marketing technique.
So, I would say instead of having 7 blogs and posting low quality content
every day, have one, give it a memorable name, turn it into a brand, and
people will come and read it periodically.
You can occasionally drop hints about new releases of your game, etc.
It does take time and it doesn't happen over night, but it's a much more
interesting adventure and in the end you will develop a much stronger
customer loyalty.

your product or service but hiring a company that is efficient enough and has
experience and expertise in the field is also mandatory. Hire a good one for
search engine optimization and they would take care of everything else. There
are different tips and tricks for increasing the website ranking and traffic
and thereby, giving more exposure to your product. Best of luck.
