As a small business owner, I find the current tax system overly burdensome
and time consuming. I would like to know the opinions of others and whether
you think it will ever be simplified?

It depends on how you file your taxes and how organized you are. I am in the
process of completing my taxes now and I have not had a problem because I
have kept records of all expenses and income throughout the year, as well as
mileage. I am simply plugging the numbers into the tax software. If you use
accounting software, such as Quickbooks, you can print year end reports that
will contain the data you need by category (advertising, utilities, etc.)
