What is an approximate start up cost of opening an assisted living facility
for about 10 clients. Including, building a new facility, staffing, permits,
etc.?
Also, what is a usual fee for an one and two bedroom apartment at an ALF?
Does Medicare or Medicaid pay any of the fees?

live. Costs vary widely around the country. You might check with your local
chamber of commerce for information.
The web site of the assisted living association (Assisted Living Federation
of America) contains a great amount of information, including average costs
for apartments. You should also be able to find information about Medicare
and Medicaid on their site as well. Generally, Medicare doesn't pay for
assisted living, though residents may pay with their Social Security checks.
