Hello Dave, To register a business in the U.S., you need to have a U.S. address. Once you decide on the state where the business will be located, you will need to find someone to act as the 'registered agent' for the business. There are companies that do this for a fee. A registered agent is the contact person/entity who represents your business in the state in which it is located. Once you have a registered agent, you can then register the business with the state or county agency in your chosen state. You could register as a corporation, LLC, partnership or something else, depending on the nature of your business. You may also need to obtain a local business license and a sales tax permit. Your registered agent should be able to advise you about those things.
