I'm a Certified Public Accountant and financial writer.  After 25 years in financial services, I am one of many who don't see much of a future there and have decided to have my own business on a full-time basis.

 

My focus is on the needs of small businesses, especially writers and artists, who have been the base of my small accounting practice for the last decade.

 

 I've been the CFO of a small MBE company and have lots of technical experience in accounting, management and business writing, so I'm building a business where I work like crazy doing taxes in the spring and hopefully have a saner workload during the rest of the year, unlike my years at the bank, where I can do some writing and gardening.

 

I also have lots of experience on both sides of the RFP fence as  former state finance official and an RFP writer.  

 

I'm glad to join this group and hope I can be a good contributor.
