I worked for Intuit many years supporting QuickBooks. I still believe that it is the best solution available for small businesses. Additionally, now that they've extended their offering it can grow with your business ie Enterprise version.
If you haven't already...give it a shot.

We use quickbooks. Our bookkeeper takes care of all the record keeping and then she sends us the quickbooks file so we can download and review her work. Quickbooks online is okay but the full versions actually have a lot more features.
Quick Books is the most popular but depending on how advanced you want to get into bookkeeping Quick Books offers but then Peach Tree is my favorite you can have a paper trail like you never seen before
I use Quickbooks and have tried using many others in last few years, however, Quickbooks seems to simply outperform them in terms of user friendliness and with few just steps you can easily integrate it with MS-Outlook and manage all of your clients informations as well...
For homebased business, Quickbooks is the BIBLE. You can enter receipts and pay bills right from the program. You can track individual clients and vendors, manage workers, income, expenses and tax deductions. It is compatible with Excel which allows easy import and export of files. It generates all kinds of financial reports for whatever is needed. I think you will be pleased. It cost about $300.00 but it is well worth the tax deductible cost.
