I think that you should also consider that even if you manage to keep the expenses of the business you will probably have no income at the beginning. There are very few business that makes profits in the first year or even the first 2 years.

It's equally important to be realistic during the business plan process.  Many people will include figures and sales numbers that are pie in the sky aspirations, rather than likely, conservative numbers.  Remember, the more accurate you can be in your business plan, the more likely you will find potential investors, and follow through with your business idea.

Question: How do you plan to start a business without money? It does take money to make money - just one law of business. before you start something make sure it is possible. Do not just rely on luck when it comes to business. A lot of trails will be there to bring your business down. If you have no money or capital do not loan in the bank to get something. Do not plan and imagine things out instead it is better if you start slowly but surely.

I am going to have to break from the other posters in this discussion and say that before spending time on a business plan, you must really consider whether you have even the basis of a business idea. You were extremely vague in your first post, but that is more than likely the frame of mind that you are in until such time that you have considered what it is you are even considering as far as an enterprise opportunity is concered. A business plan is all well and good but you will find that as you go about writing it, you will struggle to visualise exactly what the concept of your business is. You will be thinking about each section of the business, and quite possibly just filling it in aimlessly. This is because you have not spent enough time thrashing out your idea, brainstorming and considering its viability. Why spend time on a business plan that you do not even know is worthy of the time it will take you? - Sit yourself down, hammer it out on paper or on a whiteboard, then take the time to formulate a proper business plan. I, too, am going against the grain with my recommendations. Business plans are great, but there's a time to do them and a time not too. Right now is not the time. Before you can develop a solid business plan you need to examine a lot of things in your life and in the competitive environment. The first question you need to answer is, 'What is my business?' If you can't openly discuss that, then you can't move forward. Why do you need to openly discuss it? Simple, you need answers to questions you haven't thought of yet. Your family and friends and help you identify those questions. Get yourself a journal and make a record of all your ideas, the questions your family and friends ask, and information you discover in your examination of the competition. All of this information will help you build your business plan when you're at that point. Get your mind completely wrapped around your business and know it like you know yourself. As a business owner you need to fill many positions. You must be committed to doing the work, the marketing, the sales, and customer service.
