It is hard to prove that something does NOT exist, like a law does NOT exist that requires you to have a license. Generally speaking, however, most sales people do not need special licenses. There are a few exceptions, like those working with hazardous substances or chemicals. Do call someone at your department of corporations and/or state department of commerce and/or motor vehicles department and see if they can give you a definitive answer. Keep track of who you speak with, date, time and nature of conversation, just in case the issue is ever raised.
