1. E-commerce: sell tangible goods online. You can start with an ebay store,
sell on amazon, later sell on your own website
2. E-commerce: sell intangible goods and services online: Software,
Information - either as a one off: e.g. Book or subscription: e-zine,
newspaper, SaaS services, subscription based informational websites
3. Ads-based informational websites: Some websites about something people
care about, make money from advertising
4. Consultancy: sell your business' services online (marketing, publishing,

a product or a service, as long as you have real passion for getting it out
there for everyone to use, then you are half way to success. Once you figure
out what it is you want to sell or give away (information, blog etc...) set
up a website. You can start at wordpress.org for a simple do-it-yourself
website. There are many platforms where you can set up your own websites in a
few minutes just google "Blogging platform".
Once your website is set up and looks great (great looking websites are
important), you can start promoting your service / product / whatever it is.
Set up social profiles and reach out to your potential clients. There are
thousands of posts about this. Consider inbound.org as a marketing resource
to learn from.
Learn as much as you can about online sales, conversions, marketing and
you'll be on your way to making money online.
