For buying an existing business, I've had success with BusinessesforSale.com and BizBuySell.com -- they both have manufacturing sections, and you can narrow results down to business in PA. For locating a site where you could relocate in Northwest PA, I would recommend visiting Select PA Great Lakes, Site & Buildings Section -- this web site provides a listing of commercial and industrial property available.

I'd also recommend the Merger Network, it's a great place to list businesses for sale and has a full section of manufacturing businesses. I just took a quick scan and saw numerous PA based manufacturing businesses for sale. I recommend it because I've always had good luck with it and they seem to have first dibs on some choice listings. Check it out and good luck!

Check your Sunday classified ads for business for sale and contact some of the brokers. Often time they will have list of companies that are being offered for sale. This is how I got info on businesss for sale prior to the internet.

I've used bizbuysell before to find businesses but I have yet to actually purchase a business through them. As long as there is a broker involved you should be ok. What I would do is look for businesses on those sites in your area and find out which companies are the brokers. Then call them up to talk to them about their listings.
