Business will move from state to state as Army moves husband. LLC or Sole Proprieter?

Hello,I am an army wife and I am starting my own professional organizing business.  I am to the point where I want to register my business, and have decided to register as an LLC, but then I though about the fact the we will be moving every couple of years.  I am now wondering if forming an LLC is the best decision.  I am looking for the best option that will be the easiest to maintain with moving every couple of years.  Is everything registered by state or are there any federal registrations that would make moving less hassle? Looking for all ideas and comments!!Thank You!!

Yes, businesses are registered by state. Every time you move you will either need to re-register as a sole proprietor or file as a foreign LLC. Do you anticipate the possibility of liability issues that would require you to register as an LLC? If not, then it will probably be less expensive to register only a DBA.

What is a DBA?
DBA means "Doing Business As" and is also called ABN, or "Assumed Business Name." To create a sole proprietorship, a business owner needs only to register the business name indicating that they are doing business as (business name).
