Do you think buying or selling a real estate in the winters is a bad idea? If
so, why? I read in an article recently that this should be avoided, the best
months being the spring or summer. Thanks for any suggestions.

and during spring. As long as you know if the current market suits your needs
in terms of investing in real estate.

looking for flip. Regardless of when you purchase or assume to sell, plenty
of things can complicate the process from the closing getting pushed back to
a slow sale. You'll want to calculate the initial cost, cost of expenses in
repairs and such and the end potential net return as compared to price per
square foot and dwelling type of recent sales in the similar region.

selling home. It basically because housing market spikes during the May to
June time period. The sellers don’t have a job transfer, or anything that
can take up there time. Also, the weather is awesome that support blossoming
of yards, making lawns and properties in general, much more attractive. It is
also an end of the school year, which for homeowners with children, will
cause the least disruption to their routine.

is better to wait for the spring season if one is planning buying or selling
real estate property.

the replies it can be said that buying or selling in the spring season is
good although it depends on the region where you are buying or selling.
Moreover, it is not that bad an idea in the summer or winter either.

Buying in the winter, as an astute investor or first time home buyer, is a
wise decision. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, have special winter incentives to
disposition their assets in the slow winter season. Searching for hot bank
owned properties, HUD and auction real estate listings would yiled the
highest return on investment; with repsect to purchase price correlated to
appraised value. Spring and summer is the strongest season for property
owners, in acquiring tenants. Depending on your local market, you might see
multiple offer situation within a few days; given the supply within the
vicinity, durring spring and summer time as a buyer.

real estate but other times can be good depending on your circumstances and
what you are trying to achieve. Winter is a great time to be looking at land.
Views and topography are not obstructed by foliage and particularly after a
rain, you can see how the property drains. Winter can also be a great time to
sell a home because most people are waiting for that "spring market" and
housing inventory can be low, giving your property a greater chance of
selling. On the buying side, you might be able to find a great deal with
homes that have been on the market since spring and the owner is anxious to
sell.

located or where you intend to purchase. For example in our area, Sacramento,
California the market is Sizzle Hot. Listings go up here and in one day they
get multiple offers and a percentage of those all cash offers. Sellers here
are extremely pleased here this winter. Have a great day and thank you for
sharing.
