Hi,

Does anyone know how I might use this site to better connect to government and military buyers of industrial cameras? My firm provides cameras for industrial and military use and someone pointed out this site as a possible resource but I am new to the site. I thought perhaps it might be an additional resource. Other site recommendations would also be useful, I'm on Fedbizops and CCR.

The Department of Defense (DOD) and various areas of the U.S. Armed Forces have specific contracting opportunities set aside for small businesses. DOD typically allots 20% of its procurement contracts and over 30% of its sub-contracting opportunities to small businesses each year. To learn more about the requirements of doing business with the DOD, including information on security clearances and industry-specific regulations, read this Defense Contracting Guide on Business.gov. Additionally, consider contacting your state procurement agency to register as a contractor and find and bid on opportunities. You may also want to read this brief article about Getting Started in State and Local Government Contracting for some background on contracting with your state or local government.

Q: Does anyone know how I might use this site to better connect to government and military buyers of industrial cameras? If you go to www.fbo.gov, you will be at the startup page for Federal Business Opportunities and asked to fill in a keyword. Type in cameras and you will get all the solicitations involving cameras. Then pull up some past and present solicitations so you can see how the government deals with purchasing various types of cameras.
