Hi, I owned a Laundromat in NYC. I recently had purchased a redemption game machine called ' quarter pusher machine' ( quarter in quarter out), I was wonder is it legal to put it in my store or do I need to get a license for it?
If yes, what should I do since I only have one machine?
Annsiu - I believe the issue here is whether or not NY state defines a quarter pusher machine as a gambling or slot machine, or just as a recreational game. I would recommend contacting the NYC licensing office or a small business assistance center in your area for your local regulations.
