I've been reading these posts and have taken quite a bit of notes. I make bath & body products, soap, body butters, sugar scrubs etc., and specialize in adult novelty soap. I have discovered the hard way that not all hosting sites will allow adult novelty soap to be sold. It's SOAP! But anyways, I am with ipower right now. Their customer service is horrendous, I can't get anything to work beyond my introduction page and I'm trying to find a reasonable place to have a website that I can control. I am not computer savvy enough apparently to build one. At this point I am ready to pay for someone to build it for me if it's possible for me to make changes to it when necessary.
Ebay disgusts me and I'm not real impressed with the other selling venues I've been a part of in the past.
Any recommendations out there on a site that's easy to manage please? I didn't get godaddy at all when I first tried them out either.
Wordpress is a very easy content management system and can be used for static sites and not just blogs. There are so many things you can do with it. and best of all its free. i suggest you check it out.

Wow...this has been viewed 53 times.Maybe if I wouldn't have said anything about the adult novelty soap I would have had a response? It's just soap. I would be shocked to learn that NOBODY here ever bought a gag gift??
I would reexamine your niche 'adult novelty shop' I would take the adult word out of it, since it has negative condentations. If you want to advertise or do business online, anything to do with adult or porn or anything is blacklisted by most communities, i would call it something else like 'mature novelty shop' or get a thersaures and come up with another word you can use. You an also look at starting a Amazon store
