Changing an established small to business to a woman owned small business

Hi-

Len Harris here. We have been an established small business for 34 years now. The company was started by my father in 1976.

 

My dad passed away in September and my mom is now the 51% stock holder and President of the company.

My question is, how do we change our DUNS number so that when it's pulled up for reference, it reflects a woman-owned (8a set aside) business?

An ownership change may or may not requirea new D-U-N-S Number. For US businesses, contact Dunn & Bradstreet's GovernmentCustomer Response Center at 866-705-5711 for assistance. For the federal government,there is no formal certification processfor women-owned businesses. When you register your business in the CCR,youmay self-identify as women-owned business and therefore can berecognized for set-aside contracts.
