I have an LLC and I want to change the purpose of the company from 'Real Estate Investing' to 'Property Management', how do I do this and is it even necessary? My Company is in Philadelphia.
Like BizResearcher said, LLC are registered with the state, so they would be the ones to have the specific forms. Pennsylvania's website:

It doesn't appear to have a form to change your purpose, but you can contact them directly.

It is probably not necessary. If you were changing your address or the primary contact person, then you would need to file a form to amend your LLC status. To be certain, you should be able to find the forms to amend an LLC on your state or county web site. You can take a quick look at them and see if there is a place to change the purpose of the business. If not, then don't worry about it.
