I asked for quotes on the above for my one-man/sole proprietorship Windshield Repair business with one (1) shop and one (1) mobile repair truck with me as the only employee. I am required by the companies I do business with to maintain $500,000.00 Commercial or General Liability Coverage. The quotes came back ranging from $850.00 - $1600.00. Being very uneducated about insurance terminology, I have no idea how to compare. Each quote has something that is different. The most expensive one (from someone I thought I could trust) quoted from Louis A. Williams & Assoc.: $500,000.00 (Other Than Auto Only, Each Accident & Aggregate) Garage Liability (Non-Owned Autos Used in Garage Business) Garage Keepers Liability (Legal Liability with Comp/OTC & Collision LOC $25,000.00 ea) $1000.00 deductible Not General or Commercial General Liability (Why I Asked!!??? They said that's what I need as Coverage!!). The Least Expensive quoted Garage Liability & Garagekeepers from Burlington Insurance Co.: Auto Each Accident Limit: $1,000,000.00 Other Than Auto Each Accident Limit: $1,000,000.00 Other Than Auto Aggregate Limit: $1,000,000.00 Liability Deductible: $250.00 Per Claim Lube & Oil Deductible: $1000.00 ?????? Service/Repair on Vehicles>20,00 GVW Deductible: $1000.00 Garage Keepers Limit: $25,000.00 Garage Keepers Deductible Collision: $500.00 Garage Keepers Deductible SCL: $500.00 Can anyone explain what is happening here? They both got the same information & request for quote!! Thanks for any input!
