Hello Everyone
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I need to set up an
email account for my business. I have a few domain names and am in the
process of building my website. How do I get an email address for the
business? I will be needing more than one as in addition to Month of Planning
I will also be offering workshops and classes and I would like them each to
have their own email address.
I have an Aol account but I don't think that is professional and I believe
Aol will close your account if it begins to receive a large number of emails.
I need an account that will be able to recieve a large quantity of emails
without any issues to me or my students. I have heard of companies not
receiving emails because their system reads their clients email address as
spam. I don't want that to happen.
Thanks
Rae
On a side note I just filed my Article of Organization how long do I have to
officially open for business once that is done?

Google Apps. The only caveat is I think they recently started charging even
for the small business accounts, so you may be better off just using a
personal gmail account with your own domain (check out the support pages on
Google Apps - there is help on how to do this). The best thing about Gmail is
being able to access it anywhere and not having to worry so much about
backups. Plus in 6 years of using Gmail, I've only experienced one outage.
Not bad for free!

I set up the account with my hosting company but thanks for the info. It
really helps to hear what others have experienced.

Up until a couple of months ago it was free if you got up to 10 email
addresses but I still recommend them because they are cheapear than most and
you won't get all the space and features anywhere else.

from, or better yet, get it from the hosting company that is hosting your
website.
So, if your domain is www.widgetsUSA.com, then you can have it
admin@widgetsUSA.com or mary@widgetsUSA.com, etc...
If you plan to send out emails, I suggest you get an autoresponder service
like Aweber or InfusionSoft.
