Conference: 36th International Small Business Congress (Brisbane, Australia)
by AriM, Former Moderator
- Created: January 22, 2011, 7:29 pm
The International Small Business Congress (ISBC) aims to bring together policy-makers and practitioners in the Small to Medium Business (SMB) sector, from around the globe. Supported by the local host body, the Council of Small Business of Australia (COSBOA), ISBC 2009 is expected to attract delegates from over 60 countries, including: small business executives, representatives from trade associations, government stakeholders, financial institution decision makers, business support organisations and academic communities.
The 2009 Congress theme – Small Business - Rebuilding the World's Economy, will focus on different ways in which small business can engage with each other, in the community and on an international platform.
UPDATE: After much consideration we regret to advise that that the Organizing Committee of ISBC 2009 has decided to cancel the congress, originally planned for November 29 – December 2 2009 in Brisbane, Australia.
The dire events of 2009 (global financial crisis, swine flu, impact on small business and the strong Australian dollar) made it unviable to proceed with the international congress. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
Please direct all future communications regarding ISBC 2009 to info@cosboa.org.au.
